Miral, Julian Schnabel's controversial new film starring Freda Pinto, has found many supporters in Hollywood, like superstars Johnny Depp and Javier Bardem.

The story of an orphan (Pinto) growing up in the simmering Israeli-Palestinian border, the film courted controversy from the beginning and the recent murder of it's star Juliano Mer-Khamis in broad daylight, again saw it grab headlines.

A number of Jewish groups have asked for a ban on the film, including asking the UN not to show it at a planned screening.

In a new advertisement for the film in the Los Angeles Times, Depp and Bardem have lent their support to the film. "Julian Schnabel's film is a unique and courageous glimpse into one woman's painful journey. It is an epic poem teetering on the edge of a dagger. See it and decide for yourself," said Depp.

He was seconded by Oscar winning actor Bardem who is quoted as saying on the poster, "The Beauty of Julian Schnabel, he creates art that inspires discussion for World leaders and also touches the rest of us mere mortals on a very human and primitive level."

Meanwhile the 26-year-old Slumdog Millionaire actress is winning rave reviews for her performance in the film.

Famous Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto(Freda Pinto) has claimed the secret to her near-flawless skin is drinking "vegetable juice".

The Mumbai-born actress, face of L'Oreal make-up & has been on the cover of many renowned fashion magazines, insisted her concoctions that she makes with fresh produce and coriander, improve her complexion, reported the Daily Record.

"I make loads of fresh vegetable juices with coriander or pepper so that it's tastier. The concoction makes my skin glow and is good for the digestive system too," said Freda.

Despite being considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, the 26-year-old star admits she used to have doubts about her body and looks.

"When you doubt something about yourself, you start thinking there's also something wrong with your hair, your body or your clothes," she said.

Freda, who is in a relationship with her Slumdog co-star Dev Patel, recently admitted the two stars have a mutual understanding about their careers.

"We can't put our careers on hold for love. We're not at the stage where we have the privilege to turn things down. So we'll say, 'You have two days off? Let's find a way to meet up.' I think you can always make it work if you want to."

Imran Khan's big Holi bash

Actor Imran Khan is on top of the world that his 'Short Term Shaadi' co-star Kareena Kapoor has taken ill.

The gorgeous Kareena fell unwell and requested that a couple of days shoot be cancelled. Imran Khan, who is also a part of 'Short Term Shaadi' was most thrilled. Reason? The guy who didn't have any Holi plans, was suddenly free and had time enough to organise a Holi party.

So Imran Khan and Avantika Mirza will spend their first Holi post marriage in a big way and in much style at their Bandra residence. Apparently, Holi is one of Imran's favourite festivals, and he does make it a point to celebrate it with friends whenever he is in town.
